"Lucidrome" is Radarhill's premiere work for Wind Symphony and the band. The work was written by the band for RH & the Ohio University Wind Symphony (directed by Andrew Trachsel) in the winter/ spring of 2016.

Featured at the first annual "Ampersands Festival" at Ohio University, the piece was apart of a collection of pieces written for the OUWS and other projects/ musicians. Also premiered at the festival included a piece by instrument maker D. Turner Matthews (and the band Trianglus) entitled "The Space Between the Broken Bone" (www.dturnermatthews.com).

"Lucidrome" was scored and arranged by Eli Chambers (RH's bassist) for the ensembles.

More about the piece:

A portmanteau of the word 'lucid,' meaning both "suffused with light" and "able to think clearly," and the suffix '–drome,' meaning both "a large space dedicated to a cere-monial purpose" and "that which moves together."

Depending on which of four possible combinations of definitions one chooses from the above information, one may construct either a more concrete personal interpretation of the title, such as "thinking clearly in a large recital hall," or a more poetic interpretation, such as "a phenomenon in which illuminated objects or beings move together as one."
